Winter Trailhead (West Side)

The recommended winter Big Belt Hut parking lot is located just pass the intersection of Wood Gulch and Duck Creek Rd. This is where snowmobile gear hauls meet.
East Side Trailhead

The Big Belt Hut is about 5 miles from Gypsy Lake via trails 150 and 151. There is no winter maintenance from this side, however. A similar elevation to White Sulphur Springs, this road may be passable in low-snow winter months with the right equipment. This is not the recommended winter trailhead.
Big Belt Hut
The Big Belt Hut is located about 2.8 miles miles up trail 151 from the top of Duck Creek Pass. The following two maps are available to help you (1) get to the hut and (2) navigate the terrain around the hut.
